Once the sea trial or the expert appraisal has been completed satisfactorily, the payments will be completed and the ownership of the vessel will be changed. Depending on the current registration of the vessel and the nationality of the buyer, Marina Estrella will advise you regarding the procedure of change of ownership, registration changes, etc … In the case of vessels registered in Spain and acquired by a person residing in Spain , the procedure of change of property will include the presentation in the Capitania of the ID of buyer and seller, as well as documentation of the vessel and copies of the payments of the registration fees and taxes to execute the change of ownership.
From this moment the buyer will take care of the compulsory insurance of the boat, the mooring and the maintenance costs of the boat, and will start sailing and enjoy the sea with your boat.
