The Spanish Islands

The first denominations of this group of seven islands were the lucky islands, the Elysian Fields and the garden of the Hesperides among others. The best way to enjoy them is on board one of our boats for charter.

The Canary Islands have an average temperature of 25 degrees, so it is an appropriate destination for any time of year, although most sailors prefer the winter months to move to the perpetual spring of these sunny islands.

TENERIFE

	* Puerto de las Galletas * The best way to start the adventure is Puerto de las Galletas, that preserves tradition and heritage. As a fishing port, you will enjoy with the sigts of the fishermen boats in the sea every day. Dont miss the fish market in the Paseo Maritimo.
* Gastronomy * Its rich gastronomy is outstanding. We recommend the famous wrinkled potatoes with mojo picón, its delicious wines and its fantastic cheeses. In addition, the island has a large assortment of fish: samas, cherne, old, tuna, sardines, grouper…
	* Wales and dolphins * Whale sightings are a claim on the Island of Tenerife. In fact there are 26 different species of cetaceans (dolphins, killer whales, blue whales etc.) that we can enjoy in complete freedom not far from the southwest coast of the island.
* Los gigantes * Los giganteshave one of the most incredible landscapes of the Canary Islands. Its name comes from the mountain range that rises from the sea. Take advantage of its port to take a break for your trip to La Gomera.

LANZAROTE

This island of black and red volcanic lands is a reserve of the biosphere thanks of its great environmental value.

Marina Estrella Charter offers boats in Marina Lanzarote and Marina Rubicón, two of the best and most recommended ports on the island.

	* Parque nacional Timanfaya * Timanfaya is one of the wonders recommended by Unesco in 1993. You will feel like in another planet!
* Costa de Papagayo * Punta del Papagayois the southest point of the island of Lanzarote. It is probably the best area of the archipelago for snorkeling and diving. It is only one mile from Marina Rubicon.
	* Isla de los Lobos * This island is halfway between Lanzarote and Fuerteventura. It is part of the Islote de los Lobos Natural Park. Its name comes from the colony of monk seals that inhabited the island. It contains a large number of rare species and more than 130 species of vegetation. It´s a must if you are nature lover and want to experience total quietness.
* Isla la Graciosa * This island is located to the northeast of Lanzarote. Both are separated by a kilometer and this strip of sea is called «The River». To the north of the Graciosa there are two small islands that we recommend to visit, Isla de la Montaña Clara and Isla de Alegranza. In these waters you can find the two marine reserves of the Canary Islands. Mooring is limited and a mooring or docking permit is required at Caleta del Sebo.

GRAN CANARIA

It is said that it is a small continent because walking a short distance can find from desert landscapes to areas populated with green vegetation. A third of its territory and its south-west seaboard have been classified as a Biosphere Reserve by Unesco.

	* Dunes of Maspalomas *. Do not miss this beautiful landscape that changes every day thanks to the wind that molds the sand. To the south of the island, this perfect blend of desert and oasis is a unique space for its beauty, one of the great attractions of this island.
Between its landscapes some of the greatest are the Natural Park of Tamadaba (wet pinar) and the Natural Park of Pilancones (dry pine). Walk, climb to the summits or go down to lower levels where you can enjoy among many, the viewpoint of El Balcón, where you can see sea cliffs in the form of dragon tail, or the secluded beach of Guayedra with its ravine dotted with palm trees.
	*Snorkel . The great clarity of the water at a temperature of 20 Cº allows you to enjoy a unique marine diversity. One of the best places is located in the city of Las Palmas, that´s Playa de las Canteras. Protected by a natural reef, its crystalline water permit to observe great variety of native species. In the East, Marina Del Cabron Reserve* is a more than recommended place. Enjoy together with the children of colorful fish and mollusks, volcanic reefs, great marine flora … In the southern area you can find perfect snorkeling enclaves such as Meloneras, or Playa de Amadores
